Jenna

Jenna was born in Newfoundland, relocated to Bonnyville, AB at six-years-old and finally settled in her husbands hometown of Elk Point in 2015. She is a registered social worker and has worked in a variety of front-line roles ranging from youth work, family support, intake/assessment, casework and foster/kinship care; however the most rewarding role of all is being a mama to her two beautiful girls. Jenna can be found spending quality time with her family, travelling, exercising at spin class or caring for her hobby farm of  animals including chickens, ducks, cows & pigs.

Jenna is a natural helper and a quote that rings true for her is the African proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child”. Her goal is to provide the children and youth receiving our LuvPaks a sense of hope, dignity and belonging in such an incredibly traumatic and uncertain time. Something as small as a LuvPak filled of necessities and comfort items can make a world of difference to a child being taken from their family or experiencing adversity.

Jenna and Sarah are ecstatic to be members of MyLuvPak and bring such an incredible gift to the children and youth in the communities that they serve. They can’t wait to share LuvPaks all throughout the Lakeland!

Sarah

Sarah grew up in the town of St.Paul AB with her younger brother and family. She married in 2004 and settled on an acreage outside the town of Elk Point with her husband Thomas and their 3 children. They felt called to foster care for a few years before becoming a licensed home in 2018 and have had several wonderful little placements since.

Sarah is stay at home mom, with her toes in a few part time job positions, one being working at her mother’s flower store The Jungle in St.Paul. This location is also super supportive of MyLuvPak and will be the drop off center for the town. She also is involved within her church organizing meals for those in need, helping within the elementary school when needed, and volunteering for after school kids club programs.

Sarah, along side her friend Jenna see firsthand the need for Luv Paks within our Lakeland Region and have decided to team up to help out children throughout the communities. We are very excited to become part of something so special.
